No tracking, no cookie banner

You know that little moment when you open a website and immediately have to negotiate with a cookie banner? Accept this, reject that, somehow find the button that lets you just read the page. I am very happy that Group Awesome skips all that bull.

Seeing them everywhere, you would think every website is required to have one. But a cookie consent banner isn't required just because a site uses cookies. Under EU rules, strictly necessary cookies don't need consent. Advertising and tracking cookies do.

Group Awesome only uses the essential ones to keep you signed in and protect forms, so there is nothing extra to ask you to accept. The privacy policy has the details if you fancy a longer read.

I don't want checking your group's next meetup to help an advertising company build a profile of your interests. Your visit here doesn't feed those profiles or follow you onto other websites. Getting to skip the banner is a nice bonus.
